Good Afternoon,
I want to extend my appreciation to students, parents, and community members for your support with all of the new policies and procedures related to COVID-19! I am extremely proud of how respectful and cooperative students have been with all of the changes! My goal is to foster a positive environment and maintain as much normalcy as I can as we navigate the year.
Over the next few weeks, I am meeting with small groups of students during lunch and Focus to review results from the 5Essentials Survey students took last winter. The purpose of meeting with students is to celebrate our strengths and gain insight from students on how we can grow. On last year’s survey, students indicated that they felt their academic coursework was challenging and that they were supported by their teachers. Through these meetings, I am hoping to gather ideas and a better understanding of how we can help students connect their high school experiences to careers, college, and generally life after high school. I also welcome ideas and insights from parents and community members about ways to help students understand the connections between high school and life after.
