During the regular Board of Education meeting on July 15, through parent and family member phone calls and email messages, and comments received via social media feed, the following are the most frequently asked questions regarding the 2024-25 daily bell schedule, traffic flow, and pick-up and drop-off procedures. Please note that plans are subject to change, but the answers outlined below include the most current updates.

When are the new start and dismissal times for the 2024-25 school year?

The instructional day begins at 8:00am with student dismissal at 3:00pm. Please follow the link for a more detailed description of the middle and high school bell schedule along with lunch times for all students.

Where can I find a diagram of the 2024-25 pick-up and drop-off traffic pattern?

Please follow the link to the Facilities & Operations page of the district website. You can view images at the bottom of the screen or a PDF document.

If a family is dropping-off or picking-up students attending school in multiple buildings, which line should parent/relative drivers use?

This question has been asked by families planning to drop-off both elementary and middle/high school students. In cases like this, parent/relative drivers should use the elementary school drop-off so that the youngest students have the shortest walk into the building. Middle/high school students will be able to enter through the east doors near the elementary gymnasium and, depending on time, walk to the cafeteria for breakfast, high school gymnasium (if arriving prior to 7:50am), or their lockers. Elementary students would use the playground doors closest to the main office. Parents and families will NOT need to drop-off one student and move to another line and wait again.

If a student driver is transporting younger, elementary-age sibling, can everyone enter at the Athletic Lobby (or another entrance designated later)?

Yes, if an older high school sibling is transporting younger brothers and sisters, all students may enter through the same doors.

Will breakfast still be offered to students from all three buildings?

Yes, the district must offer breakfast. We plan to utilize the high school gymnasium as a waiting area for 6-12 students not planning to eat breakfast. Likewise, elementary students not eating breakfast will travel to their classrooms beginning at 7:40am. The cafeteria will be available, and based on previous numbers, should provide more than enough space for all students to eat breakfast.

How early can I arrive for student drop-off in the morning, and my student still have access to the building?

How early can parents/family members arrive at school grounds for afternoon pick-up?

Parents and family members should not arrive before 2:50pm for afternoon pick-up. If you are picking-up students from multiple buildings to include the elementary school, please wait in the elementary line. Parents and families can plan with older students to meet them at the same time and location they expect to pick-up their elementary children.
